About The Course

How would you like to improve your balance, cognition, quickness, anticipation of changing directions, coordination, agility, and multi-directional speed. Wow, that would be great! Those are the benefits of practicing ladder drills regularly. Agility or speed ladders are a tried-and-true piece of exercise equipment that can supercharge your fitness. Agility ladders are affordable, easy to train with and versatile. You can use them wherever you have an open space in your home that is free of furniture, carpeted or bare floor. Training with an agility ladder teaches you to move side to side, forward, backward and incorporates lateral and leg crossing movements. Adding drills that include hopping will enhance your quickness, tendon strength and power. Including agility ladder training in your week will help maintain your neuromuscular coordination and challenge you to improve your physical ability including proprioception, or your body’s ability to sense its location, movements, and action. To begin, set your ladder on an open piece of your room, separating the rungs by 12-15 inches. Keep in mind your ladder will wander around as you step on the rungs, so a piece of tape on each corner will limit the movement. Begin with Ladder Drills 1, then advance to Ladder Drills 2 and 3 when your are comfortable with the exercises. Lets get started!
